Ur Point Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing and using the Ur Point website (www.ur-point.com) and associated mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy, and any other policies posted on our website. Ur Point is a subsidiary of Ur International Group Ltd. In these Terms:

  • "Ur Point," "the Company," "the Website," "we," or "us" refer to Ur Point and its parent company.

  • "Member," "User," or "you" refers to anyone accessing or using the Website.

  • "Content" includes any text, images, video, audio, or other media that you upload, post, or otherwise transmit through the Website.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the Website. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically as they may be updated from time to time.

2. Eligibility, Registration, and User Obligations

2.1. Eligibility and Parental Consent

Ur Point is designed to be a safe, family-friendly platform with features tailored for different age groups. For users aged 16 and over, full registration and, where applicable, identity verification are required. For younger users aged 7–16, access to our Ur Vibe features does not require the same identity verification; instead, parental setup is mandatory. By registering as a user under 16:

  • Parental Consent and Setup: A parent or legal guardian must provide consent during the registration process. They are required to set up and configure the parental controls for Ur Vibe, ensuring that content and interactions remain age-appropriate.

  • Parental Responsibility: While we have implemented robust safety measures and moderation systems to maintain a secure environment, parents are ultimately responsible for monitoring their child's activity on the platform. If parents observe any content or behavior that they believe has "slipped the net," they are encouraged to report it immediately.

  • Safe Environment Commitment: Our goal is to create a positive and secure space for younger users. However, parental oversight is essential to address individual concerns and ensure that the platform aligns with each family's values and safety standards.

2.2. Registration Requirements

To register as a member, you must provide accurate and up-to-date personal details. You agree to:

  • Provide genuine information and update it as necessary.

  • Keep all login credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

  • Use the Website in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2.3. Verification Process

To maintain a safe and authentic community, certain features may require identity verification. This process uses Stripe to compare a government-issued photo ID with an image from your camera roll. The verification fee, which is non-refundable, supports secure processing and prevents impersonation. Please note:

  • Accepted forms of identification include a driver's license, passport, or national ID card.

  • The verification process typically takes a few minutes; in rare cases, it may require additional review.

  • Stripe processes your verification data securely and does not store or sell your information.

3. Access and Use of the Website

3.1. Alterations to the Website

Ur Point reserves the right to amend or withdraw features, services, or the entire Website at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable if any part of the Website becomes temporarily or permanently unavailable.

3.2. Data Collection and Privacy

By using the Website, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for purposes related to operating, maintaining, and improving our services, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. We will not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for their commercial gain.

3.3. Intellectual Property

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to access and use the Website solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to reproduce, alter, or distribute any content without explicit written permission.

4. User Content and Acceptable Use

4.1. Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for any content you upload or post on Ur Point. By submitting content, you grant Ur Point a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Website.

4.2. Unacceptable Behaviors

Users are prohibited from engaging in behaviors that:

  • Incite bullying, trolling, harassment, or hate speech.

  • Involve hacking, unauthorised access, or manipulation of accounts.

  • Threaten, blackmail, or impersonate other users.

  • Encourage or engage in illegal activities, including unlawful gambling, trading of cryptocurrencies without permission, or any actions that violate UK law.

  • Breach intellectual property rights or infringe on the rights of others.

Any violation may result in account suspension, deletion, or legal action.

4.3. Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement

To maintain a positive environment, Ur Point uses a combination of automated moderation software and human oversight. Users are encouraged to report any content that violates our "Be Kind" policy. Violations may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent account deactivation. We reserve the right to disclose your identity to appropriate authorities in cases of severe or illegal breaches.

5. Protection Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

5.1. Zero-Tolerance Policy

Ur Point maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:

  • The creation, sharing, or possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

  • Grooming, coercion, or any form of sexual communication with a child.

  • Attempts to exploit children in any way through our platform.

We are committed to ensuring that Ur Point remains a safe and secure space for all users, particularly children.

5.2. Prevention and Moderation Measures

To combat CSAE, Ur Point employs a multi-layered approach that includes:

  • Age Verification: We require parental consent and verification for users under 16, ensuring that children are protected from inappropriate interactions.

  • AI-Powered Content Moderation: Our systems scan for harmful content, including known CSAM, and automatically flag or remove such material.

  • Parental Moderation: Parents are able to see their child's 'Ur Vibe' account from their own profile. This gives them the access to monitor the content their child is viewing, the friend requests they're receiving, and messages they're receiving.

  • Human Oversight: In addition to AI moderation, content is regularly reviewed by our inhouse team. We take any reports on CSAE incredibly seriously.

5.3. Reporting CSAE Content and Behaviour

If you encounter or suspect CSAE-related content or behaviour on Ur Point, you must report it immediately via our Help Centre. Reports are reviewed by our dedicated trust and safety team, and appropriate action is taken, including:

  • Immediate content removal

  • Account suspension or permanent ban

  • Referral to law enforcement and relevant authorities, including the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the National Crime Agency (NCA)

We encourage users to report any concerning behaviour, even if they are unsure whether it violates our policy.

5.4. Parental Tools and Educational Resources

To further safeguard children on Ur Point, we provide:

  • Parental controls for managing child accounts and interactions.

  • Educational resources on recognising and preventing online exploitation.

  • Regular updates on online safety and best practices, in line with OFCOM guidance.

By using Ur Point, you acknowledge and agree to our strict policies on child protection. Any attempt to violate these policies will result in immediate action, including legal consequences.

  • The fees help cover the cost of maintaining a safe, ad-free, and positively engaging environment.

7.2. Verification Details

As detailed in Section 2.3, the verification process uses Stripe to securely confirm your identity by comparing your photo ID to an image from your camera roll. This verification badge may be displayed on your profile to build trust within the community. Stripe does not store or sell your verification data.
